George Clooney is the Jennifer Lopez of heartthrob actors: he's rarely, if ever, single for too long. This week, reports surfaced that George Clooney has been hooking up with Stacy Keibler, a WWE female wrestler perhaps best known for her former stint on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, won't comment on his personal life, telling The Famous on Thursday, "George is finishing his movie and I haven't had any way to reach him for the past several weeks." Keibler's representative has not yet responded to our request for comment.
Meanwhile, the rumor continues -- building steam -- with a pair of reports on People.com and Us Weekly's website, adding legitimacy to the unexpected George-Stacy hookup. A source tells Us: "It's more than just a fling. ... They're basically exclusive at this point. They like each other's sense of humor. Obviously they're both physically attracted to one another."
Clooney, 50, was reportedly introduced to Keibler, 31, through a mutual friend. In recent weeks, the super-fit blonde, a red-carpet fixture on the Hollywood party circuit, has been overseas on a whirlwind European vacation, hopping from Cannes to Ibiza to London and, allegedly, to The Cloon's adopted home of Lake Como. Keibler posted this cryptic tweet on July 9: "I am the luckiest girl in the world," adding three smiley-faces for emphasis.
Sources confirm to People.com that the two "have run into each other this summer," but describe the relationship as casual: they're not dating, just having a "fun" fling.
